988 SUICIDE & CRISIS LIFELINE

The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline offers 24/7 access to trained counselors who can help people experiencing mental health-related distress. Individuals experiencing a mental health crisis can now call or text a three-digit number, 988, to reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and connect with mental health professionals trained to respond to such emergencies. 988 went live nationwide on July 16, 2022. Individuals can also connect to the Lifeline via chat at 988lifeline.org
